Algo 1197 Satellite Weather-Hardened Horn Speaker

Description

Algo 1197 is a rugged satellite horn speaker designed to extend the coverage of Algo’s IP horn speaker range. Built for tough outdoor environments, it connects directly to a compatible master speaker, providing a simple and scalable way to increase sound dispersion without extra network cabling.

For expanded coverage, up to three satellite speakers may be connected to the 8197 speaker sharing the 16W of available audio power. The 8197 IP PoE+ Weather-Hardened Horn Speaker can provide significant savings when combined with one or more 1197 satellite speakers.

Satellite speakers are connected to the 8197 in a daisy chain fashion using CAT5/CAT6 standard patch cables. Each 1199 Satellite Speaker attached is detected by the 8197 IP PoE+ Weather-Hardened Horn Speaker automatically and can be monitored for connectivity. The number of attached satellite speakers is displayed in the 8197 web GUI and also visible in the 8300 Supervision Controller, if deployed.

Identical in appearance and acoustical output to the 8197 IP PoE+ Weather-Hardened Horn Speaker, the satellite speakers can provide ambient noise response based on the 8197 microphone noise detection and by default automatically adopt the zone and volume settings of the 8197 speaker.

• Weather-Hardened Design
  The 1197 is engineered for harsh conditions. Its robust housing resists rain, dust, heat, and UV exposure, making it ideal for outdoor campuses, car parks, workshops, loading bays, and industrial sites.

• Satellite Extension Speaker
  It operates as a passive satellite unit powered directly from an Algo master speaker such as the 8186 or 1196. No PoE port is required. This helps reduce installation costs while expanding coverage across larger or irregular spaces.

• Long Cable Runs
  The master-to-satellite connection supports cable lengths up to 15 metres per hop, with a total daisy-chain length of up to 45 metres when using three satellites. This design makes it easy to reach distant or hard-to-cable areas.

• Consistent Output
  The satellite delivers clear paging, alerts, and emergency tones. Audio is matched to the master speaker for uniform sound across all chained units.

• Ideal for High-Noise Areas
  Its directional horn design projects audio over long distances, improving intelligibility in noisy environments such as workshops, warehouses, and outdoor operational zones.
